Potevo abbandonare Leslie e Edward? Assolutamente no! Così eccomi alle prese con il secondo capitolo che come il primo, non mi ha deluso per niente, infatti, "Weep not for the past" è il seguito di "Bomber's Moon" di cui vi ho parlato la settimana scorsa.
Leslie è di nuovo da solo, ma questa volta non si trova più a Londra, bensì è stato praticamente costretto dal suo compagno a trasferirsi nella casa di campagna di Caroline, dove lo credeva più al sicuro. Edward è da qualche parte in Africa in missione segreta, e Caroline... Beh, Caroline si è riscoperta coinvolta da Cyril. Si avete capito bene. Dal suo autista... Ma se leggerete i romanzi di Paul Alan Fahey capirete che non tutto è come sembra a prima vista.
Dove ero rimasta... a Leslie da solo, preoccupato per l'amore della sua vita e senza nulla da fare. Proprio lui che a Londra era occupato ventiquattro ore su ventiquattro.
Caroline allora lo incoraggia a fare qualcosa per tenersi occupato, ma non ci sono molte alternative in un paesino così piccolo, sperduto nella campagna inglese. Insieme si iscrivono ad un corso di primo soccorso tenuto dalla parrocchia. E in quell'occasione Leslie incontrerà una strana signora, dai capelli bianchi e dagli occhi verdi...
Se volete scoprire il seguito, non vi resta che immergervi in questa lettura, enigmatica e coinvolgente che ti lascia con il fiato sospeso in attesa di un seguito.
C'è un lento evolversi nei personaggi, Leslie e Edward sono unici e quando sono insieme, l'alchimia che c'è tra loro traspare in ogni riga del racconto. Ormai sono una delle mie coppie preferite.
Sono dolci come il miele.
Ecco un altro gioiellino che non deve mancare nella nostra libreria.

Absolutely not! So here I am with the
second chapter, that, like the
first one, did not disappoint me
at all, and in fact, "Weep not for the past" is
the sequel to "Bomber's Moon" of
which I spoke last week.
Leslie is alone again, but this time he is no longer in London. He was practically forced by his partner to move to Caroline's country house, where he thought he was safer. Edward is somewhere in Africa on a secret mission, and Caroline ... Well, Caroline has been involved with Cyril. Yes, you read right. Cyril her driver ... But if you read the novels of Paul Alan Fahey you will understand that not everything is as it seems at first glance.
Leslie is alone, worried about the love of his life and with nothing to do. And it’s very hard for him especially because he was used to be busy 24 hours a day.
Caroline then encourages him to do something to keep himself busy, but there are not many alternatives in a so small village, secluded in the English countryside. Therefore they enroll together in a first-aid course held by the parish. And on that occasion Leslie meets a strange woman, white-haired and green-eyed ...
If you want to find out more, you just have to immerse yourself in this enigmatic and engaging reading, that leaves you with bated breath waiting for a sequel.
There is a slow evolution in the characters, Leslie and Edward are unique and when they are together, the chemistry that exists between them shines through in every line of the story. They are, now, one of my favorite couples.
They are sweet as honey.
Here's another gem that must not fail in our library.

libro in inglese lo trovo un po' faticoso..
Anche io spero che Paul decida di far tradurre questa serie, perché e' ben scritta e soprattutto molto molto intrigante!!
