O MIO DIO !!! Questa autrice mi piace da impazzire. E quest'ultimo romanzo breve di Iyana Jenna è a dir poco stupendo ... Se volete saperne di più vi accontento all'istante.
Chance e Ryder sono due attori che lavorano nella stessa sit-com. Condividono casa da circa tre anni, sono grandi amici ma questo legame rischia di spezzarsi per sempre quando Ryder improvvisamente fa sapere che darà una festa di fidanzamento in onore del suo prossimo matrimonio con Mike.
Chance che è innamorato del suo amico e collega, prende male la cosa ... Da quella festa di fidanzamento il ragazzo non e più lo stesso e sia Ryder che un loro amico e collega comune, Andrew, se ne accorgono, pur non riuscendo a capire la causa dello strano comportamento di Chance.
Andrew parla in separata sede con entrambi i ragazzi e Chance decide di prendersi un periodo di riflessione per cercare di dimenticare l'uomo che ama, mentre Ryder verrà a conoscenza di qualcosa che mai avrebbe sospettato riguardante l'amico che se n'è andato lasciandolo nella disperazione.
Sì, disperazione, perché Ryder ama da sempre Chance, ma l'ha sempre creduto irraggiungibile visto che pensava fosse etero e soprattutto fidanzato. Per cercare di andare avanti si è impegnato con Mike e si è deciso a chiedergli di sposarlo. Se solo avesse saputo prima che i suoi sentimenti verso Chance erano più che ricambiati ... Se solo l'amico non fosse fuggito lontano da lui ... Se solo ... se, se, se ... Troppi dolorosi se.
A Los Angeles, Chance cattura l'attenzione di un noto uomo di spettacolo: Sebastian Vanderbilt. Lui è un uomo gentile, bello e forse potrebbe essere la persona giusta per dimenticare Ryder, il suo grande e impossibile amore. Voltare pagina potrebbe aiutarlo a tornare in sè, potrebbe fargli dimenticare tutto il dolore e la sofferenza che ormai da tempo si sono impossessati di lui.
Mike, il fidanzato di Ryder sa che l'uomo che gli ha chiesto di sposarlo non è mai stato innamorato di lui, cosi decide di fare un grande sacrificio ... lo lascia andare e cerca di convincerlo a parlare con Chance.
Sarà troppo tardi? Sebastian Vanderbilt è entrato a far parte della vita dell'uomo che ama da sempre? Riuscirà Ryder a parlare e a chiarirsi con Chance? Ma soprattutto ... il ragazzo gli offrirà una seconda occasione?
Vi parlo di questo romanzo parlo perché è una storia che merita di essere letta e conosciuta anche se purtroppo, per il momento è possibile leggerla solo in lingua originale. Un altro piccolo e prezioso gioiello di Iyana Jenna, che vorremmo veder tradotto in italiano.

Chance and Ryder are two actors who play in the same sit-com. They shared the house for about three years, they are great friends, but this friendship is going to break forever when Ryder throws a party for his engagement and his upcoming marriage with Mike. Chance, who is in love with his friend and colleague, feels bad and angry... but well... he can only blame himself, because he wants everyone to think that he is straight and he has a girlfriend. From the engagement party, Chance is no longer the same, and even Ryder and their friend and colleague realizes it, despite not knowing what is the reason of his strange behavior. Andrew, one of their colleague, talks separately with both Chance and Ryder, and Chance decides to take a break to think and try to forget the man he loves, while Ryder finds out some things that he would have never guessed about his friend. The friend who left him, leaving him in despair. YES, in despair, because Ryder has always loved Chance, but he believed Chance was unattainable because he was straight. Trying to move on, he engaged to Mike and decided to ask him to marry him. If only he had known that his feelings for Chance were more than reciprocated... If only his friend had not fled away from him... If only... if, if, if... too many painful "if".

I’m talking about this novel because it’s a story that deserves to be read and known, although for the moment, it’s available only in English. A small and precious jewel by Iyana Jenna, that we hope one day will be available to the Italian readers.
